Vintage original 11 x 14 in. (27.9 x 35.6 cm.) U.S. lobby card, very good+ condition.
The silent action/thriller film Across the Continent was released in 1922 by Paramount Pictures and stars Wallace Reid. The image features a close shot of Jimmy Dent (Wallace Reid), the son of a wealthy automobile manufacturer, driving a period racing car and accompanied by pretty Louise Fowler (Mary MacLaren), the daughter of his father's competitor. The couple are greeted by Jimmy's father, John (Theodore Roberts, left) and a crowd of reporters. This vintage original lobby card is in very good+ condition with a chip at each lower corner and and a 0.75 in. tear on the outer white border just above the lower right corner. There is a thin vertical 3 in. line of toning at the upper right corner.
Across the Continent was chosen as the opening night film for San Francisco's Castro Theatre which opened on June 22, 1922.
