Offered here is a vintage original 8x10 in. U.S. single-weight still photograph from the highly popular silent film drama ANNA CHRISTIE, distributed by First National Pictures in 1923, starring Blanche Sweet in the title role. This first screen version (which was later remade in sound with Greta Garbo in her first talking picture) of Eugene O'Neill's famous play of the same name was produced by the legendary Thomas H. Ince. The image depicts a wonderfully romantic publicity shot of the prostitute Anna Christie (Blance Sweet) in a tender embrace with her suitor, the dockworker Matt Burke (William Russell) on the deck of a ship in front of a jet black background. The credits in the bottom outer white border read "Thos. H. Ince presents "ANNA CHRISTIE" - First National Pictures Inc." Measuring 8x10 in., this vintage original still photograph is in fine+ condition with with only a 0.5 in. area in the top left corner of the image which appears to be a scratch that looks like a scar (a vertical line with 3 horizontal lines intersecting it. The image quality of this particular still photograph is extraordinary with razor-sharp detail and beautiful rich contrast. Don't miss your opprotunity to acquire this highly desirable still photograph from this famous silent film drama.
