Vintage original 11 x 14 in. (27.9 x 35.6 cm.) U.S. lobby card, near-fine condition.
The silent film drama A Stage Romance was released in 1922 by Fox Film Corporation and stars William Farnum. Based upon the play by Alexandre Dumas, tells the story of the great London Shakespearean actor Edmund Kean. The image features stylized artwork of actress Peggy Shaw (as Anna Damby) holding a smouldering cigarette and champagne glass with the images of stacks of coins and a bag of money below her. This artwork is flanked by a full-length image of Farnum (left) as well as a close headshot (right). This vintage original lobby card is in near-fine condition with two pinholes in the upper right corner within the background area and one pinhole in the outer white border, two pinholes in the upper left within the background area and three pinholes in the surrounding top and left outer white borders. There are a total of six pinholes within the film's credits area on the bottom. There is a 0.5 in. tear in the lower portion of the right outer white border and light signs of toning on the right half of the lower white border.
