Vintage 8 x 10 in. (20.3 x 25.4 cm.) U.S. single-weight copy still photograph, autographed by Eddie Quillan, very fine condition.
This 8 x 10 in. copy still photograph (not a vintage original still photograph) is autographed by silent film comedian Eddie Quillan, who is shown with the legendary silent film comedy producer/director Mack Sennett. The image features a posed publicity shot inside the Mack Sennett Studios featuring Sennett standing behind a vintage Bell & Howell 35mm motion picture camera as his newest star, Eddie Quillan, stands warily in front of the lens while various studio personnel are seen in the background.
The consignor of this still photograph had it inscribed and autographed by Mr. Quillan when he met him years ago which reads: To Michael with best wishes, Eddie Quillan. This copy still photograph is in very fine condition with a typed paper label on the verso which reads: "This was the beginning of Eddie Quillan's film career when Mack Sennett discovered him in 1926." Mr. Quillan's signature is in bold black Sharpie.
