Vintage original 8x10 in. (20.3 x 25.4 cm.) U.S. single-weight gelatin silver glossy still photograph, very fine condition.
This rare on-set posed publicity still photograph is from the silent film drama Eternal Love, released in 1929 by United Artists and directed by Ernst Lubitsch. The film stars John Barrymore in the lead role. The image features a posed exterior shot of the film's crew, director Lubitsch (seen in the back row, second from left, with a cigar in his mouth) and star John Barrymore (in costume near the center of the group with his legs crossed and a cigarette in his mouth). A wooden camera tripod, accessory boxes and what look like reflectors mounted within wooden frames are seen in the background. This vintage original still photograph is in very fine condition with a 0.50 in. diagonal crease on the top left corner, a 0.25 in. diagonal crease on the top right corner and on the bottom left corner and a tiny bit of wear on the bottom right corner.
This is a rare and desirable production shot which features both a major director and Hollywood star.
