Vintage original 4 x 3.25 in. (10.2 x 8.3 cm.) U.S. glass slide, Excelsior Illustrating Co. (New York), c.1918, very fine condition.
This beautiful glass slide depicts a close portrait shot of western star William S. Hart that was used to advertise his films released by Artcraft Pictures Corp. and features the Artcraft logo in both top corners of the slide. It notes that Hart's films (at the time) were supervised by the renowned Silent Era producer Thomas H. Ince and that the Artcraft name was controlled by the Famous Players-Lasky Corporation, of which Adolph Zukor was President, Jesse L. Lasky was Vice President and Cecil B. DeMille was their Director General. This vintage original personality glass slide is in very fine condition and includes the original black tape frame wrapped around the edges.
