Vintage original 11 x 14 in. US lobby card from the classic silent film melodrama, SECRETS, released in 1924 by First National Pictures and directed by Frank Borzage. 
 
The image features an interior long shot of Mary Carlton (Norma Talmadge) standing behind the door of her room as her father, William (George Nichols), tries to enter while her beau, John Carlton (Eugene O'Brien), hides beneath one of her large dresses. It is unrestored in fine+ condition.

*"The Mar—Apr 1923 issue of Moving Picture World announced that film executive Joseph M. Schenck had acquired motion picture rights to the successful Broadway play, Secrets— which was currently running at the Fulton Theatre in New York City—as vehicle for his wife, Norma Talmadge. According to the 12 Mar 1924 FD, Secrets was set to open 20 Mar 1924 at the Criterion Theatre in Los Angeles, CA, while the 13 Feb 1924 issue reported a 23 Mar 1924 premiere at the Astor Theatre in New York City. Voted one of the “Top Best Features” of 1924 by the 1929 Film Daily Year Book, as reported in the Feb 7, 1930 FD.
 
Mary Carlton, an old lady, falls asleep while sitting up with her sick husband, John, and dreams of her girlhood in England, her elopement with John to America, their life on a ranch in the West, their return to England--rich and famous--and her devotion to him when he is unfaithful. She awakens and finds that her husband has passed the crisis."
